It is the great question of our time, and opinions are divided. Personally I consider them to be Cosplayers, because I think they're related to Furries.

Ah, but I sneer at survivalists, because generally, they don't, and cannot, survive. (they seem to whimper and die if you take away their rifles, combat fatigues, and all ferrous metals). I'm fine with some rocks.

We call them ‘tournaments’. The conditions are less rustic, and we don't spend two months sewing our team uniforms together.

Rustic? I showered and shaved every day slept on the same bed I did at home, and had access to way more beer and meat, if anything I'd say it was less rustic, you've seen our bathroom right?

as for team uniforms I think you're letting yourself down there a bit, I can just see you in this sort of thing

Well, not usually. In the recent WaM tournament some of my team spent the better part of a month sewing their uniforms. ;)

It's a big, loosely defined larp. Rennfaire people are the ones more closely related to cosplayers and furries.

They hate it when I call it a larp, though. Particularly AH

Really hate to say it - but no stats sheet makes it one big ole cosplay.
